The story behind PitWater®.

PitWater founder Gary Lathan on site, rinsing cups at a Hydration Station

Meet Gary Lathan.

PitWater was founded by Gary Lathan, who spent 30 years working in health & safety for live events across the UK. From major festivals to sold-out stadium tours, he's seen how well-run front of stage pits keeps crowds safe — and how the wrong hydration setup puts everyone at risk.

One thing always bothered him: the way free water is handed out at the front of stage. Open pit bins. Cups dipped by hand. Fingers in cups passed over the barrier. A method that's unhygienic, inefficient, and hard on the stewards doing it — yet unchanged for decades.

So Gary built PitWater® to fix it: a purpose-designed Hydration Station that's fast, clean, ergonomic and built to last a festival summer.

"After 30 years watching stewards break their backs over pit bins, I knew there had to be a better way. PitWater is that better way."
— Gary Lathan, Founder
